# I build software and help teams move their projects forward.

I help teams build and improve Elixir and Phoenix applications, add AI features, and make better use of coding agents. I've worked in software since 2012 and on professional Elixir projects since 2017.

My work includes taking products from proof of concept into production, improving existing applications, and building the checks and tooling around delivery. I work directly on the code as well as the decisions behind it.

Where the work has happened, most recent first.

- 2022–

Founder & Software Consultant, Optimum

I build software products and provide consulting through Optimum Tech. From 2022 to January 2026, I ran Optimum BH, an Elixir and Phoenix agency, leading delivery, technical direction, code review and team development.

- 2020–24

StoryDeck

I built a paid proof of concept for Hikaya, then continued the product as StoryDeck as co-founder and technical lead, through MVP and production.

- 2019–

Contract work

Contract work included WPA3 support for Nerves on a Raspberry Pi 4, real-time production tracking with GlobalReader, and other Elixir and Phoenix applications.

- 2012–20

Earlier

I worked on the backend at Mukuru, a pan-African remittances company, mostly in PHP with domain-driven design and plenty of legacy code. Before that I was full-stack at Klika and Social Eddy.

## Elixir, Phoenix and development workflows

We can start with a specific application problem, a code or workflow review, or one feature taken through implementation and checks. I provide consulting through Optimum Tech.

I can also help with AI features, CI/CD, and coding-agent workflows: defining the work, choosing useful checks, and reviewing the result.
